seems like a timewarp when I think back when I was a HeadStart kid every morning. Thank goodness for those meals as my family at that time struggled each week.

seems like a timewarp when I think back when I was a HeadStart kid every morning. Thank goodness for those meals as my family at that time struggled each week. This program is wonderful all around. Dairy, farmers, to kids, to teachers to the overall well being of future youth, this has really made an impact on America. In sheer protein consumption, headstart contributes to a lot of nutrition that would be missed at the kids homes. I remember HS. I didn't know at the time how important the corn flakes were but now I see why this program is still in use now.
It's sad we don't expand head start to more kids and add healthier foods. Considering whats been spent on the military-industrial sectors since 2001, its over 5 trillion dollars, this money has had a noticeable impact.
