anyone know of any books that write about the life styles of people on FS? Fiction or non-fiction, doesn't matter. I found a few on google but i'd rather get some real choices from living people that are familiar with the subject. thxs!@

besides this place I kno theres a food stamp budgeting book put out by that "for dummies" publisher.

This maybe outdated but there use to be a survivalist magazine back in the 1980s/1990s called "American Survival Guide". They came back in the 2000's as a online-digital content only, but I think they are publishing new monthly magazines.
It offers discussion and articles dealing with frugal living, homesteading, survivalist issues, etc. You can find old, back issues on ebay for a few dollars each or you can buy a current subscription (2014) and have a hard copy delivered.
Many people enjoy reading the old issues as before the internet, in the late 1980s and early 90's this was a premier source of information on these subjects. Try here: Ebay search for American Survival Guide [ASG]
